Morag has over 27 years of experience as an APHRA registered Occupational Therapist in the disability sector and is a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. She has made a profound impact working in both government and non-profit organisations and her academic background is equally impressive. Morag started with a BSc in Occupational Therapy from Glasgow Caledonian University, followed by postgraduate studies that include a Diploma and a Certificate from Queen Margaret University and The University of Edinburgh, respectively. She is renowned for her ability to support people of all ages and abilities, specialising in physical disabilities, equipment prescription, and ASD.
Morag's personal journey brought her from Scotland to Perth in 2012, along with her husband and son. Her downtime is cherished, spent relaxing with her family and two Labrador pups, which reflects her belief in the importance of balance and wellbeing.
Karen has brought over a decade of experience in the UK to her work at Aspire Therapy WA. She graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy and has undertaken further education in understanding autism and British Sign Language (BSL Level 1 and 2), Karen is dedicated to fostering inclusive communication and understanding within her field.
Karen's journey from Scotland to Perth, in 2022, alongside her husband, marks a new chapter where she seamlessly blends her love for the Australian lifestyle with her work as an APHRA registered Occupational Therapist. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the cinema and relaxing at the beach.
Chrissy is a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and an accredited Allied Health Social Worker specialising in mental health. She has substantial experience in crisis intervention, advocacy, and treatment planning and is known for enhancing mental health outcomes and client satisfaction. Chrissy excels in managing caseloads, facilitating support groups, and linking clients to community resources, thriving in collaborative environments. Her approach combines nurturing relationships, grounding techniques, and wellness strategies for a balanced lifestyle.
Chrissy, a mother to four, including two NDIS participants, deeply understands the NDIS landscape. Her passion extends to spending time outdoors, whether it's at the beach or bush walks with her golden retriever, Pepper.
Laura has a Graduate Certificate in Positive Behaviour Support from Flinders University in 2022 and graduated as an Occupational Therapist from Edith Cowan University in 2014. She is AHPRA registered and is a Behaviour Support Practitioner registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Her work spans a wide array of settings, touching the lives of those with mental health challenges, and people with disabilities.
Laura's expertise in environmental design shines through in her work with adults, particularly for those with cognitive impairments and dementia, where she focuses on creating supportive environments, understanding sensory and behavioural difficulties, and implementing practical solutions for everyday challenges. When it comes to mental health, she empowers people by helping them understand their diagnosis, develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and coping skills, and teaches the use of CBT and DBT skills to manage distress.
Laura is a mum to two young children and loves spending time outdoors with her family, exploring Perth's parks and beaches. She has a passion for working with families, and providing a service that fits in with their busy lives, based on realistic plans and strategies.
Sarah was awarded the Edith Cowan University Excellence Scholarship and she completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy with distinction in 2017. Since then, she has been a beacon of support and expertise as an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist and a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Sarah brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work with children and adults alike, with a rich background in both aged care and the disability sector since 2018. Her expertise spans a range of areas including sensory and emotional regulation, school readiness, development of fine motor skills in early childhood, alternative academic output methods, and fostering independent living skills. What truly sets her apart is her strength in early childhood and school-aged intervention, positive behaviour support, and her collaborative approach with families, schools, and external support systems to achieve meaningful outcomes.
